Summer Week Two

May 18 - May 21

We kicked off week 2 in Vegas.  We moved the RV over to Rivera RV Park (http://www.rivierarvpark.com/) since it was a cheaper place and we decided to spend the weekend in a hotel.  If you have T-mobile and looking for a place with great service, then this place is it.  Mikey got to stay at Animal Inn (http://www.animalinnlv.com/) where he must have had his own Vegas party because he was worn out when we picked him up.  We had friends that also came into town for the weekend and we had a nice dinner at Culinary Dropout (http://www.culinarydropout.com/location/las-vegas/).  We got a chance to explore some on the strip, hangout at a pool and had a fabulous time.

May 22 - May 23

After Vegas we headed off on one of the longest drives of the trip.  We had a couple of days to make it to Napa, but when Nick starts driving he likes to just go.  Since we couldn't check-in to the camp site in Napa, we found a nice place in French Camp (near Stockton, CA).  We stayed at French Camp RV Park (https://www.frenchcamp.com/) for two nights.

Even though Nick was a sick during our stay here he found a little energy to take me to a couple of wineries and  the French Camp Sports Bar and Grill on Tuesday for live music.  We didn't stay out too long that night, but got a chance to meet others that were staying at the RV park, including a family from Southeast Misssouri (where my parents grew up).

Finally, Wednesday came and we made the shortish drive over to Napa.  The summer road trip was sort of planned all around attending Bottle Rock (http://www.bottlerocknapavalley.com/) and the camping option was at Skyline Wilderness Park (http://www.skylinepark.org/).  We were the first to arrive (technically camping for the festival didn't start until Thursday, but since we were staying awhile we got to come early).  Even though we had to dry camp the spot was great.

Wednesday night we headed to town on our bikes.  Nick was still a little sick so luckily I found a small bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner.  The views on our way home were amazing and we even ran into a deer and her little ones.  We also brought our pizza oven along so Thursday night after picking up our wrist bands we got to enjoy pizza and wine!

Week Three and Bottle Rock coming soon.  While the park in Napa is beautiful, it is in a valley so cell service and Internet service has been difficult.
